Job description
The Business Development Electrolyzer Middle East role at Bosch is responsible for driving the commercialization and expansion of electrolyzer (ELY) technologies within the Middle East region, with a base in Saudi Arabia. The role involves working closely with the regional Team Lead to enhance understanding of the regional market, key industry players, and business models in the renewable hydrogen and energy sector. The position focuses on acquiring pilot projects for electrolysis technologies and establishing long-term business opportunities based on signed contracts across the Middle East. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and establishing a regional integrator ecosystem for Bosch Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) stack technology, enabling scalable hydrogen and renewable energy solutions. The role includes building and maintaining strong customer relationships, implementing regional networks, and driving adoption of electrolyzer and hydrogen technologies within industrial and energy markets. The position requires deep technical and commercial understanding of hydrogen production technologies, electrolyzers, renewable energy systems, and customer market dynamics in the Middle East. The role combines sales expertise with technical knowledge in electrolysis and energy systems, supporting Bosch’s energy and industrial technology portfolio. The candidate is expected to operate in a solutions-oriented business environment, leveraging Bosch processes and regional market insights to drive business growth. The role requires strong cultural and market awareness of the Middle East region and experience in energy technology sales and business development.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the regional Team Lead to execute business development strategies for electrolyzer and hydrogen technologies across the Middle East region
- Enhance market intelligence by analyzing regional renewable energy markets, identifying key players, and developing commercial entry strategies for electrolysis technologies
- Acquire pilot projects for Electrolysis (ELY) technologies and support the development of long-term commercial contracts for hydrogen and energy solutions
- Establish and develop a regional integrator ecosystem for Bosch Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) stack technology to enable scalable deployment of hydrogen solutions
- Build and maintain customer relationships across energy, industrial, and renewable sectors to support business expansion and technology adoption
- Implement regional networks and partnerships to strengthen Bosch’s presence in the electrolyzer and hydrogen energy market
- Support commercialization of electrolysis technologies by aligning customer needs with Bosch energy solutions and technology offerings
- Develop and execute market entry and growth strategies for hydrogen and renewable energy solutions within the Middle East region
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 5–10 years of professional experience in business development, sales, or energy technology sectors
- Demonstrate university degree in Renewable Energy, Process Engineering, Electrochemistry, or related technical discipline (advantage)
- Demonstrate deep understanding of electrolyzer technology, hydrogen systems, and renewable energy markets
- Demonstrate experience in sales and solutions-based business models, preferably within industrial or energy technology sectors
- Demonstrate familiarity with Bosch processes and enterprise-level solution delivery environments
- Demonstrate experience working within Middle East markets including strong cultural and business understanding of the region
- Demonstrate ability to build customer relationships, manage stakeholders, and develop regional business networks
- Demonstrate experience in identifying and developing pilot projects and commercializing new energy technologies
