Job description
The Senior Manager – RBWM Performance & Partnership role supports driving operational performance, process efficiency, workforce effectiveness, and service quality across retail banking operations in international markets. The position focuses on improving cost efficiency, productivity, and operational outcomes while maintaining alignment with the Group’s operational strategy and transformation agenda. A core mandate is to build, strengthen, and sustain partnerships between international retail operations and business stakeholders to ensure delivery excellence and support business growth objectives. The role operates within the COO International structure, which oversees operational strategy, customer experience, and property management across international markets, aligning International COO functions with Group standards, operational excellence principles, and efficient execution of business priorities. The function supports Emirates NBD Group COO and Group CHRO in governance development, robust operational risk management, and the execution of COO International strategic programmes and key initiatives aligned with the Bank’s vision and operational aspirations. The role assesses multi-market operational performance, identifies improvement levers, coordinates performance improvement initiatives, drives process simplification and standardization across countries, supports workforce planning and resourcing, collaborates with transformation teams on scalable operating models, prepares management reporting and insights, and works closely with operational risk partners to strengthen controls and embed a strong risk awareness culture across retail operations.

Key responsibilities
- Assess operational performance across international retail banking markets and identify performance improvement levers
- Coordinate and support the implementation of performance improvement and efficiency initiatives across countries
- Partner with retail banking leadership and operational teams to align operational support with business growth priorities and customer experience objectives
- Drive process simplification and standardization initiatives across international retail banking operations
- Support workforce planning and workforce optimization across retail operations to ensure appropriate resourcing and capability
- Collaborate with transformation teams to design and implement scalable operating models aligned with Group strategy
- Maintain oversight of retail operations performance across international markets
- Prepare regular management reporting, dashboards, and performance insights to support leadership decision-making
- Work closely with international operational teams and risk partners to strengthen operational controls, address gaps, and embed a culture of operational risk awareness
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in retail banking operations
- Proven experience in performance management, process improvement, and stakeholder management within a COO or transformation function
- Exposure to international or multi-market operational structures within banking
- Strong background in retail operations with business front line exposure to RBWM products and transformation initiatives
- Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or operational excellence certifications are desirable
