Job description
Concept Studies, FEED, and Detailed Engineering all fall within the project lifecycle this Lead Technical Safety Engineer leads across onshore and offshore oil and gas developments for ADNOC. As discipline technical authority, you provide engineering leadership that keeps TSE solutions safe, reliable, maintainable, and cost effective, all while complying with client requirements, applicable standards, and project schedules. Calculations, data sheets, technical notes, requisitions, specifications, and drawings all get developed and checked within the discipline, with you acting as the single focal point coordinating and supervising the safety engineering team. Workshops such as PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA get organized and led regularly, with recommendations and findings followed through to completion. Hazardous area classification, fire protection design, firewater network design, and fire and gas detection system design all fall under your technical scope, applying standards such as IEC, NFPA, and API. Third party safety studies, including QRA, FERA, and F&G mapping studies, get reviewed under your responsibility, alongside technical procurement services like material take-offs, bid evaluations, and vendor print reviews. PIPENET, DNV PHAST, and other consequence modeling software support the analysis behind fire and explosion risk, dispersion studies, and emergency evacuation planning. Quality assurance across engineering deliverables, design reviews, and constructability reviews rounds out the leadership responsibilities this role carries.
