Job description
Day to day sales efforts across the Catering and Events department fall to this role at Rotana Ras Al Khaimah - The Mangroves, directing sales, training, and the systems needed to hit both departmental and hotel targets. Event production gets monitored closely, with activities adjusted along the way to keep planned goals on track. You plan and establish goals for the Events Office function, administering it in a way that keeps qualified leads flowing consistently. Communication stays active with Rotana Sales Offices and other sources of sales and events information, alongside timely, responsive contact with every account and prospect. Incoming group and banquet leads get handled jointly with the concerned sales division, covering communication, negotiation, and contracting from first enquiry to signed agreement. Group business gets assessed to maximize contribution from available public space, generating room revenue while still hitting banqueting budgets. Every lead gets yielded before the offer letter goes out, whether that means the venue assigned or the rates offered, particularly in areas that are set up in advance. Discount rates and percentages get determined together with the Revenue and Reservations Managers, with negotiation guidance communicated across all sales divisions.
