Job description
Major building and hospitality developments generate model data, spatial data and site information from dozens of different sources, and this role exists to keep all of it coordinated through the construction supervision phase. You develop and implement BIM Execution Plans aligned with client requirements, then monitor contractor and consultant compliance with the standards and protocols those plans set out. Model review sessions run regularly, coordinating architectural, structural, MEP and infrastructure models under one quality control process. GIS databases get built and maintained alongside this, pulling geospatial data from surveys, site investigations and utility networks into a single project platform. Common Data Environment platforms sit under your management too, with document control, information exchange workflows and clash detection reviews all running through the same system. Compliance stays a constant thread, covering BIM and GIS deliverables checked against project specifications, naming conventions and classification standards. Client representatives, consultants, contractors and surveyors all coordinate through this role during BIM and GIS meetings and technical workshops. Weekly and monthly reporting on implementation status, KPIs and compliance performance keeps project management and clients informed throughout.
