Job description
Qiddiya Investment Company, a pioneer in establishing a cultural and entertainment hub in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Senior Manager – Design for Museums to lead design and operational initiatives for museum projects within the Culture BU. The role is responsible for overseeing the conceptualization, design development, and realization of museum spaces that align with Saudi Arabian architecture, heritage, and cultural identity while delivering immersive visitor experiences. The position ensures museum designs reflect Qiddiya’s educational and cultural aspirations, integrates curatorial intent, and enhances exhibit interpretation. The Senior Manager – Design for Museums leads end-to-end museum design delivery, establishes and enforces design guidelines, ensures compliance with safety, accessibility, and sustainability standards, conducts regular design reviews and audits, collaborates with curators, stakeholders, exhibition designers, architects, and designers locally and internationally, and oversees project timelines and budgets. The role requires deep knowledge of contemporary museum practices, exhibition design trends, and the use of professional design software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, alongside responsibility for mentoring and supervising design teams and presenting design concepts to senior management and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the design process for museum projects from initial concept through completion with a focus on curatorial intent and visitor engagement
- Collaborate with curators, stakeholders, and exhibition designers to develop museum spaces that enhance exhibit presentation and interpretation
- Establish and maintain museum design guidelines aligned with cultural significance and the vision of Qiddiya museums
- Ensure all museum design work complies with safety standards, accessibility standards, and sustainability standards
- Conduct regular design reviews, design audits, and design assessments to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives
- Supervise and mentor design team members to support delivery of museum and exhibition design initiatives
- Engage with local and international architects and designers to incorporate diverse perspectives and best practices in museum design
- Present museum design concepts to senior management and stakeholders, articulating design vision, purpose, and value
- Monitor and manage project timelines and budgets to ensure museum projects are delivered on schedule and within cost
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Museum Studies, Exhibit Design, or a related field
- Possess a minimum of 7+ years of relevant design experience with a strong focus on cultural, museum, or exhibition design
- Demonstrate a proven track record of successful museum or exhibit design projects
- Exhibit strong expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite for professional design delivery
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of contemporary museum practices and trends in exhibition design
