Job description
The Associate Product Manager / Product Owner will play a key operational role within the Product team, ensuring the product backlog is well-structured, prioritized, and aligned with business goals. This role acts as the bridge between Client Relations, internal stakeholders, and Engineering, managing incoming product issues, improvements, and feature requests. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical thinking, structured organization, and a genuine interest in investments and financial markets. Working closely with Product Managers, you will support roadmap execution, monitor product performance, identify trends in user behavior and recurring issues, and contribute to delivering a stable, high-quality user experience. This is a hands-on, on-site role in Dubai, suited to an early-career product professional eager to grow within a fast-paced fintech environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring all tickets are clearly written, properly scoped, prioritized, and continuously updated.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related issues, bug reports, and improvement requests from Client Relations and internal teams.
- Triage and analyze incoming issues, assessing impact, frequency, urgency, and business risk before escalating to engineering when required.
- Document recurring issues, track patterns over time, and identify systemic problems affecting product performance or user experience.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to align backlog priorities with the broader product roadmap and strategic objectives.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding ticket status, timeline updates, priority shifts, and known issues.
- Monitor product performance metrics and user behavior, flagging anomalies, regressions, or unexpected trends.
- Conduct regular product flow reviews and hands-on testing to ensure platform stability and smooth user journeys.
- Prepare weekly reports summarizing key incidents, recurring challenges, performance trends, and recommended corrective actions.
- Support agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Translate technical issues into clear business impact summaries for non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria and validating delivered features before release.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and client-facing teams to improve internal processes and product quality.
Experience & skills
- 1–2 years of experience working directly with a Product team (Associate PM, Product Ops, Business Analyst, or similar role).
- Strong interest in or experience with investments, trading platforms, or financial markets.
- Hands-on experience using Jira or similar ticketing systems for backlog and issue management.
- Familiarity with Figma for reviewing product designs and collaborating with design teams.
- Experience using product analytics tools such as PostHog, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
- Ability to analyze quantitative data and qualitative feedback to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for business audiences.
- Proactive, self-motivated mindset with strong curiosity to learn and grow within product management.
- Must be based in Dubai and available to work on-site.
