Job description
The Director – Emirati Segment (Emirati hire) at du in the United Arab Emirates is responsible for full P&L management across Mobile and Home products, leading the commercial strategy for the Emirati segment. The role encompasses market research, competitive benchmarking both in and out of country, and continuous performance monitoring of overall P&L and core initiatives. The Director designs comprehensive marketing strategies and plans, develops new initiatives based on customer insights and unmet market gaps, and orchestrates business cases (BC) and annual promotion plans. Responsibilities include communication strategy and plan design, roadmap orchestration and prioritization of initiatives, and commercial initiatives orchestration across departments. The position drives Digital CX strategy and customer journey design, forms partnerships with Emirati brands to build a loyalty platform with third-party offers, and leads the Emirati squad to orchestrate segment roadmaps. The role requires extensive experience in marketing within mobile and ideally home telecom products or digitally sophisticated industries such as telecoms, digital banking, aviation, or software, with proven expertise in strategy, propositions design, brand building, market share growth, and loyalty platform launch and operation.

- Lead full P&L management for Mobile and Home products within the Emirati segment, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and performance monitoring of overall P&L and core initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive benchmarking locally and internationally to inform marketing strategy and propositions design.
- Design and execute marketing strategies and annual marketing plans, including annual promotion plans, communication strategy design, and brand building initiatives aligned to market insights.
- Develop new commercial initiatives based on customer insights and unmet market gaps, orchestrating business cases (BC) and cross-departmental execution.
- Drive roadmap orchestration, initiative prioritization, and commercial initiatives coordination across departments to ensure strategic alignment and timely delivery.
- Define and implement Digital CX strategy and customer journey design to enhance customer experience across Mobile and Home segments.
- Form strategic partnerships with Emirati brands to establish and operate a loyalty platform with third-party offers, ensuring win-win collaboration models.
- Lead the Emirati squad, influence senior stakeholders without direct reporting lines, and orchestrate segment roadmaps to achieve market share growth and successful product launches.
Experience & skills
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Administration.
- 15+ years of marketing experience in Mobile and ideally Home products within Telecommunications or digitally sophisticated high-tech or service industries such as Telecoms, Digital Banking, Aviation, or Software.
- Proven expertise in Emirati segment strategy, propositions design, and customer experience (CX) design.
- Strong background in marketing strategy design, brand building, and propositions development based on market research and customer insights.
- Demonstrated successful track record of product launches and winning market share.
- Experience launching and operating loyalty platforms and forming partnerships with third-party companies.
- Capability to lead and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority and orchestrate cross-functional commercial initiatives.
- Strong competence in Digital CX strategy, customer journey design, competitive benchmarking, and P&L performance monitoring.
