Job description
The Senior Trademark Counsel will join the Intellectual Property Law Department within Aramcoâs Law Organization and report to the Trademarks, Copyrights, and General IP Practice Leader. Responsibilities include managing outside counsel in trademark application preparation and prosecution, managing trademark portfolios, counseling internal clients, providing IP education, and drafting and negotiating trademark agreements and IP licenses. The role supports Aramcoâs diverse initiatives across exploration, production, refining, petrochemicals, renewables, power, and other sectors. Candidates should have a Juris Doctorate degree, be admitted to general practice in their jurisdiction, and possess at least 12 years of trademark and copyright experience, including trademark clearance, registration, branding agreements, and infringement. The position requires a pragmatic, business-oriented approach, strong judgment, ethical standards, and willingness to travel internationally. Experience with USPTO patent bar is preferred but not required.
