Job description
The Relationship Manager – Trading Companies, Corporate & Investment Banking role is responsible for maintaining and growing relationships within the trading companies segment in line with the bank’s business strategy. The position focuses on originating, structuring, and recommending appropriate credit facilities, including working capital facilities, term finance, treasury solutions, and applicable investment banking products. The role involves managing a portfolio to maximize return on assets and share of wallet, optimizing balance sheet usage, and achieving defined financial and non-financial KPIs. The Relationship Manager must demonstrate strong credit, legal, and marketing expertise, handle large and complex transactions independently, and possess in-depth knowledge of the bank’s credit policies, operating systems, and corporate banking product suite. The role also requires collaboration as a team player, strong analytical capability, and the potential to grow into a team leadership position within Corporate & Investment Banking.

Key responsibilities
- Maintain existing client relationships and solicit acceptable new relationships within the approved business strategy and target market
- Originate, structure, and recommend appropriate credit facilities including working capital facilities, term finance, treasury, and investment banking products
- Achieve financial and non-financial targets as defined in management objectives and KPIs
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the stipulated target market to support unit business plans
- Develop existing client relationships to maximize return on assets and share of wallet
- Optimize balance sheet usage and structure within the managed portfolio
- Structure and manage large and complex transactions independently in accordance with credit policy
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s credit policy and operating systems in all transactions
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of corporate and investment banking solutions
- Support team objectives and demonstrate readiness to officiate as Team Leader when required
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 5–7 years of marketing or corporate finance experience
- CA or MBA qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge of corporate credit, legal documentation, and risk management
- Good knowledge of working capital, term finance, treasury, and investment banking products
- Ability to independently handle and structure large and complex transactions
- Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of balance sheet management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively as a team player
- Demonstrated potential to develop into a team leadership role
