Job description
As a Deputy Store Manager, you will support the Store General Manager in managing the daily operation of the store to ensure our customers have an amazing experience. You will also work to maximize sales, maintain store standards, and motivate your team. By exceeding customer expectations and delivering on Primarkâs proposition (maximizing joy at minimum cost), youâll drive store sales to achieve targets. Deputy Store Managers have the power to impact the business daily, by managing inventory, moving product in accordance with customer demand and by being commercial (meaning that youâll know what is trending and order your merchandise daily to drive sales).

- Support the Store General Manager in daily operations to ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Maximize sales and maintain high store standards.
- Motivate, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
- Analyze reports to guide teams in improving commercial performance.
- Order merchandise in line with customer trends to drive sales.
- Communicate expectations clearly and celebrate team successes.
- Manage resourcing planning and scheduling.
- Act as Key Holder for the store, including emergency call-outs and securing stock and cash.
- Maintain safety and efficiency according to EHS and operational policies.
- Engage and influence stakeholders as a role model leader.
Experience & skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in retail leadership within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience in developing high-performing teams and future leaders.
- Strong people management and motivational skills.
- Ability to analyze reports and improve commercial outcomes.
- Experience in customer service excellence and enforcing store standards.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities.
- Experience in scheduling and resource planning.
- Key Holder experience including emergency protocols and asset security.
- Knowledge of EHS standards and operational procedures.
- Proficient communication skills in English for both oral and written contexts.
