Job description
Saudi Total Petroleum Products is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join its high-performing finance team at the Jeddah-Zahran Business Center. The role is responsible for managing core accounting functions, supporting financial integrity, and collaborating with operations, treasury, and audit teams. Key activities include managing accounts payable, handling banking and treasury support, maintaining fixed assets records, recording and valuing inventory, preparing financial statements, participating in month-end closings, and supporting internal and external audits. The position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance within a structured, fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to gain exposure across a wide range of accounting activities while contributing to financial operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable process including invoice review, verification, coding, and posting
- Manage bank accounts and cash balances including reconciliations and monitoring cash flow
- Prepare cash position and cash forecast reports to support treasury planning
- Handle relationships with banks and fiscal authorities
- Maintain accurate records of fixed assets including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal
- Coordinate with stakeholders for periodic physical asset verification
- Prepare fixed asset-related reports
- Record and post inventory transactions including purchases and adjustments
- Coordinate with operations team for accurate inventory valuation
- Assist in preparing financial statements and analytical reports
- Participate in month-end closing processes
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English and Arabic
