Job description
The Manager – Student Services role at ADNOC HQ in Abu Dhabi is responsible for leading and managing all activities related to student registration, enrollment, academic and psychological counselling, trainee distribution to specialties and companies, and extracurricular activities within the ADNOC Technical Academy (ATA) environment. The role oversees student engagement and performance management across studying and training periods including ATA, On-the-Job Training (OJT), and Al Dhafra programs to ensure optimal trainee performance, retention, and engagement outcomes. The position involves collaboration with academic departments, on-the-job departments, government entities, and internal ADNOC stakeholders to align student services with organizational strategy and Emiratization goals. The Manager is responsible for implementing policies, strategies, and operational frameworks to enhance trainee experience, ensure effective academic support, and maintain alignment with ADNOC group objectives. The role includes monitoring trainee performance including attendance, behavior, and academic progress, and implementing disciplinary intervention strategies when required. The position also involves identifying annual trainee intake requirements in coordination with ADNOC departments to ensure alignment between demand and trainee supply across disciplines. The Manager leads departmental planning, budgeting, performance management, KPI tracking, and organizational development activities. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with HSE standards, ISO guidelines, internal policies, and best practices in educational administration. The role also focuses on innovation, continuous improvement, and change management to enhance service delivery, while maintaining reporting systems and management information systems (MIS) for accurate decision-making. The position requires strong leadership capabilities in educational counseling environments and student administration systems, along with fluency in English and Arabic.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage student registration, enrollment, counselling, and administrative operations across ADNOC Technical Academy training programs
- Develop and implement departmental goals aligned with ADNOC and ATA strategic objectives to enhance trainee experience and engagement
- Monitor trainee attendance, academic performance, and behavioral standards, implementing disciplinary interventions where required
- Coordinate with academic and operational departments to define annual trainee intake requirements across disciplines and specialties
- Develop policies and strategies in collaboration with senior management to maximize trainee retention and performance outcomes
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and investigate financial variances to ensure cost control and efficiency
- Implement performance management systems including KPIs and balanced scorecard frameworks across student services functions
- Lead organizational development initiatives including succession planning and talent pipeline development in coordination with HR
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, ISO requirements, internal policies, and regulatory guidelines across student services operations
- Prepare management information systems (MIS) reports and performance updates for senior leadership decision-making
Experience & skills
- Hold Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or Administration with strong foundation in student services or educational management
- Demonstrate 15–20 years of professional experience including 7–10 years in managerial roles within education or student services environments
- Demonstrate 8+ years of experience in educational counselling or student environment-related positions
- Demonstrate experience managing student registration, enrollment, counselling, and academic administration functions
- Demonstrate strong leadership experience in managing teams, resources, and departmental operations within educational institutions
- Demonstrate knowledge of performance management systems including KPIs and balanced scorecard frameworks
- Demonstrate experience in budgeting, financial monitoring, and operational planning within institutional environments
- Demonstrate familiarity with HSE compliance, ISO standards, and organizational governance practices
- Demonstrate proficiency in management information systems (MIS) and student information reporting tools
- Demonstrate fluency in English and Arabic with strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
