Job description
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) is seeking a Team Leader for Compliance Screening to oversee the quality and accuracy of alerts related to customer onboarding and the existing customer portfolio. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and bank procedures while supervising a team of associates. The ideal candidate will combine strong compliance knowledge with leadership skills to maintain high standards of operational excellence.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Oversee quality screening and review of alerts submitted by associates for new customer onboarding and existing customer portfolios
- Ensure alerts and processes comply with ADCB and regulatory requirements to avoid penalties
- Report matches or compliance issues to relevant Compliance functions
- Supervise, organize, and guide team activities to achieve targets and deliver business objectives in line with policies, processes, and systems
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and ensure maximum contribution to business performance
- Assess team understanding of systems used for alert review and ensure effective use of processes and tools
- Coordinate with compliance teams and escalate issues as required
Experience & skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in banking, including at least 2 years in compliance operations
- Bachelorβs degree in a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of account opening, customer documentation, and banking transactions
- Knowledge of customer behavior patterns and banking workflows
- Experience with screening systems and compliance software is preferable
- Strong analytical, organizational, and team leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain adherence to policies and regulatory requirements
