Job description
The Project Manager (PMP Certified) β Banking Sector is responsible for leading end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology and digital transformation projects within the banking industry in Riyadh. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while aligning with banking regulatory requirements, internal governance policies, and business objectives. The position involves managing cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, QA, and infrastructure specialists while serving as the primary liaison between banking clients, technical teams, and business stakeholders. The Project Manager develops comprehensive project plans, manages risks, controls budgets, and ensures proper resource utilization. The role requires strong knowledge of banking systems, fintech solutions, and digital platforms, as well as proficiency in project management methodologies such as PMBOK, Agile, and hybrid approaches. It also involves maintaining detailed project documentation, reporting KPIs to senior leadership, and ensuring compliance with financial sector regulations and security standards throughout the project lifecycle.

- The role involves developing detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation strategies, and budgets while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within approved financial constraints.
- The position requires managing stakeholder relationships by acting as the primary point of contact between business units, technical teams, and banking clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project execution.
- The role includes identifying project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations, cybersecurity standards, and internal governance frameworks across all project activities.
- The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams, while fostering collaboration, productivity, and high-performance delivery culture.
- The role involves monitoring project budgets, tracking costs, and preparing financial and progress reports for senior management to ensure transparency and effective resource utilization.
- The position requires preparing comprehensive project documentation including project charters, schedules, risk logs, status reports, and closure reports while ensuring proper governance and audit readiness.
Experience & skills
- A bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration is required, along with PMP (Project Management Professional) certification as mandatory for this role.
- The candidate must have 8β10+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the banking or financial services sector, with proven experience in delivering digital transformation or technology projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including PMBOK, Agile, and hybrid frameworks is required, along with experience using tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Trello.
- Candidates must demonstrate experience in banking systems, fintech platforms, core banking solutions, or payment systems, with understanding of financial sector operations.
- The role requires strong risk management, compliance, and regulatory knowledge within the banking industry, ensuring adherence to governance and security standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are required to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage executive-level engagement effectively.
