Job description
The Citigold Relationship Banker at Citi Dubai is responsible for delivering high-quality private client relationship management and advisory services, focusing on Citigold customers. The role entails deep understanding of customer needs, asset allocation, and financial planning to enrich relationships by mobilizing funds and selling fee-based products and services aligned with both current and future client requirements. The position involves reviewing product penetration within the assigned client base, proactively identifying opportunities to increase engagement and cross-sell banking products, and ensuring coverage of all client relationships through systematic engagement, risk profiling, and financial planning processes. The role requires organizing client events to enhance customer bonding, acquiring new Citigold customers by converting referral leads, and maintaining strict adherence to KYC, AML, and other compliance norms. The banker is expected to evaluate business decisions considering reputational risk, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, while applying sound ethical judgment and escalating or reporting control issues transparently. The incumbent also contributes to team coaching, training new recruits, and integrating subject matter expertise to support workflow improvements and process efficiency within the Private Client Coverage function.

- Review Citigold customer needs and asset allocation, proactively engaging with customers to validate understanding of their requirements
- Advise Citigold clients to enrich relationships by mobilizing additional funds and selling fee-based products/services aligned with client needs
- Analyze product penetration within assigned client base and identify opportunities to offer tailored products to enhance revenue and engagement
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of all client relationships through systematic engagement, risk profiling, and financial planning
- Organize and manage Citigold customer events to strengthen client relationships and promote brand loyalty
- Acquire new Citigold customers by converting referral leads and other potential business sources
- Ensure strict adherence to KYC, AML, and all other compliance norms and regulations
- Assess risk appropriately in business decisions to safeguard Citigroup, its clients, and assets while maintaining ethical conduct
- Escalate, manage, and report control issues transparently, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
- Coach and train new recruits, contributing to workflow improvements and the integration of subject matter expertise within the team
Experience & skills
- 5β8 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in relationship management or private banking
- Proven ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively and prioritize multiple tasks
- Mandatory certifications required for selling financial products
- Bachelorβs or University degree, or equivalent experience in banking, finance, or related disciplines
- Strong analytical and communication skills for client advisory and portfolio review
- Demonstrated understanding of compliance, risk assessment, and ethical banking practices
- Experience in customer engagement, financial planning, and private banking product advisory
- Ability to organize and execute client events, manage referral leads, and drive business development initiatives
- Knowledge of Citigold customer segment requirements and private client coverage strategies
- Ability to integrate cross-functional knowledge to enhance process efficiency and client service delivery
