Job description
The Assistant Manager – Automotive Sales Operations role is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, within Al Ghurair Mobility under Al Ghurair Investment. The position supports the Dealer Principal in driving sales performance, managing budgets, and maximizing unit sales, gross margin retention, and additional income from finance, insurance, and add-on products. The role manages defined key performance indicators, supports annual budgeting, ensures effective sales operations to avoid aging stock, and oversees the sales and transaction process using tools such as the Dealer Management System (DMS). Operationally, the role conducts daily sales meetings, monitors sales enquiries and activities through the DMS, manages finance and insurance processes, supports sales opportunity maximization, ensures end-to-end sales follow-through, drives customer engagement programs to brand and business standards, resolves customer complaints, and maintains showroom display and hygiene in compliance with HSSE guidelines. The role also ensures adherence to policies and legal requirements related to customer data protection and acts as a brand ambassador. From a people management perspective, the role provides coaching support for associate performance and behavior, collaborates with HR shared services on hiring, and ensures disciplinary actions align with AGI and governmental requirements. The position requires strong automotive sales experience, financial awareness of banking processes, and leadership capability to support customer satisfaction, finance and insurance performance, and overall dealership performance targets.

Key responsibilities
- Manage defined key performance indicators to maximize sales opportunities and dealership performance
- Support the Dealer Principal in managing the annual budget to achieve unit sales targets, gross margin retention, and additional income from finance, insurance, and add-on products
- Support sales operations to maximize unit sales while minimizing the risk of aging stock
- Manage sales and transaction processes using the Dealer Management System
- Support training and development initiatives aligned with the AG Auto way of selling
- Conduct daily sales meetings and monitor sales enquiries and activities through the DMS
- Manage finance and insurance processes to generate additional sales revenue
- Provide second-face support to maximize every sales opportunity
- Ensure all sales transactions are followed through to meet customer expectations
- Drive customer engagement programs in line with brand and business minimum standards
- Manage and resolve customer complaints with effective resolution outcomes
- Support maintenance of showroom display and hygiene in compliance with HSSE guidelines
- Ensure adherence to policies and legal requirements to protect customer data
- Act as a brand and business ambassador by leading through example

Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or above
- Possess sales process experience in a customer-facing environment with financial awareness of banking processes
- Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in a sales environment
- Have at least 3 years of experience in an operational management position
- Demonstrate required automotive industry sales experience
