Job description
The role involves tender preparation and submission for shipping, marine, and multimodal transport projects, requiring analysis of tender documents and client requirements. Responsibilities include preparing detailed techno-commercial proposals incorporating transport plans, stowage layouts, sea-fastening arrangements, and cost estimates, as well as coordinating with engineering and operations teams to ensure feasibility and compliance with project specifications. The position includes developing pricing models and cost breakdowns aligned with company guidelines and market benchmarks, liaising with shipowners, brokers, and charterers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms, and reviewing and incorporating BIMCO charter party clauses and other contractual terms. Additional responsibilities include feasibility studies, route assessments, port capability evaluations, reviewing technical drawings and documentation from logistics providers and carriers, ensuring proposals meet international standards and client expectations, managing RFQ cycles, maintaining tender tracking systems and documentation archives, supporting post-tender negotiations, reviewing and validating technical documentation, ensuring compliance with port regulations, country-specific requirements, and HSQE standards, and preparing method statements and project documentation. The role requires a bachelorās degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field, 5+ years of experience in tendering or project engineering within the shipping or marine transport industry, and preferred experience preparing proposals for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Lift projects. Required skills include strong understanding of project logistics, chartering, shipping operations, BIMCO clauses, chartering practices, international marine standards, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and marine engineering software such as GHS, Autohydro, and AVEVA Marine.

- Analyse tender documents and client requirements for shipping, marine, and multimodal transport projects to support tender preparation and submission
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals including transport plans, stowage layouts, sea-fastening arrangements, and cost estimates in line with project specifications
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure feasibility, compliance, and alignment with company guidelines and market benchmarks
- Develop pricing models and cost breakdowns to support competitive tendering
- Liaise with shipowners, brokers, and charterers to obtain quotations and negotiate terms while reviewing and incorporating BIMCO charter party clauses and contractual requirements
- Collaborate with legal and commercial teams to finalize tender documentation and contracts
- Conduct feasibility studies, route assessments, and port capability evaluations and review technical drawings from logistics providers and carriers
- Ensure proposals meet international standards and align with client expectations through thorough technical and commercial analysis
- Manage RFQ cycles, ensuring timely submission and compliance with internal procedures, and maintain tender tracking systems and documentation archives
- Support post-tender negotiations and hand over finalized documentation to project execution teams
- Review and validate technical documentation and ensure compliance with port regulations, country-specific requirements, and HSQE standards
- Prepare method statements and project documentation for internal and client use
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrate 5+ years of experience in tendering or project engineering within the shipping or marine transport industry
- Show experience preparing proposals for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy Lift projects as preferred background
- Possess strong understanding of project logistics, chartering, and shipping operations
- Provide strong knowledge of BIMCO clauses, chartering practices, and international marine standards
- Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and marine engineering software such as GHS, Autohydro, and AVEVA Marine
- Demonstrate analytical, communication, decision-making, and client-facing skills
- Show ability to manage multimodal transport chains and complex project environments
- Work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Possess excellent English language skills, with additional languages preferable
- Be self-motivated, driven, and detail-oriented
