Job description
Group Operations and Credit Administration at FAB carry a wide range of operational risks, and this VP within the Operational Internal Control & Governance (OICG) department oversees the framework that keeps them in check. Reporting to the Head of OICG & APM, you lead a team of managers and supervisors and support recruitment and performance evaluations across the department. Risk assessments and internal controls are the main levers, and their quality needs steady improvement. Control frameworks are designed to meet regulatory requirements and internal policy, and risk appetite and tolerance levels are set with senior leadership. Risk metrics and KPIs, regular control evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives help reduce exposure and raise efficiency. Anti money laundering rules, Central Bank guidelines and internal procedures must be followed strictly, with deviations reported at the prescribed levels. Training and awareness programmes help build a risk-aware culture across the business. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and extensive operational risk and control experience in financial services, with an MBA or MSc and operational risk certifications highly desirable.
