Job description
National oil companies, refining and petrochemical complexes, LNG export terminals and cross-country pipeline networks make up the customer base for this Saudi-based business developer on the AWS Energy team. Regional energy strategy is yours to own, finding where data and AI can speed things up across the value chain, from exploration, drilling and production to refining, petrochemicals, pipelines and LNG. Typical use cases include seismic interpretation and reservoir modelling, real-time analytics and digital twins for refineries, and SCADA and emissions monitoring for pipeline operators. AWS account teams, ISVs and systems integrators work with you to shape solutions that bridge IT/OT convergence, industrial data platforms, subsurface data management and advanced analytics. VP and C-level engineering and digital leaders are the people you build trust with, often while they weigh build-versus-buy decisions. Reference architectures, whitepapers and solution briefs grounded in real operations, from OSDU and reservoir simulation to turnaround planning, advanced process control and pipeline integrity, back up those conversations. Pipeline generation and deal pursuit from first conversation to signature are self-directed, measured on pipeline, solutions adopted and customer outcomes. Requirements include 5+ years in business agreements, 5+ years solving problems with technology in Energy & Utilities, 5+ years in Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales or Consulting, and experience with Data & AI and Advanced Compute technologies, plus a Bachelor's degree. Hands-on industry time on a rig, in a control room or on a plant floor, and a Master's degree would strengthen your case.
