Job description
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking a VP ā Credit Management to join its Group Credit division in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on reviewing and processing credit facility applications and transaction requests for Commercial Banking customers, conducting comprehensive credit risk assessments, and ensuring the bank only books high-quality assets. The VP will also manage a portfolio of accounts, monitor early warning cases, liaise with business units for compliance with credit terms, and oversee the timely resolution of audit findings. The role requires strong expertise in credit management, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance within the banking sector.

Key responsibilities
- Review and process credit facility applications and transaction requests for Commercial Banking clients
- Conduct in-depth credit and risk analysis to recommend approval or rejection to the appropriate authority
- Ensure compliance with the delegation matrix and maintain high-quality asset standards
- Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring compliance with approved credit terms
- Monitor early warning signals and follow up with business units on client commitments
- Review and provide feedback on analysis performed by credit analysts
- Coordinate with business units to resolve audit findings raised by Internal Audit in a timely manner
- Safeguard the bankās interest through proactive monitoring and credit oversight
Experience & skills
- 12ā15 years of overall banking experience, with at least 5 years in credit management
- Bachelorās degree in Accountancy, Commerce, Economics, or Finance (Masterās degree preferred)
- Proven expertise in credit risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, and financial analysis
- Strong understanding of commercial banking products and real estate credit
- Experience with audit compliance and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills
