Job description
The Senior Consultant in the Corporate Tax department will play a key role in delivering international corporate tax and M&A consulting engagements. The role includes coordinating proposals, delivering tax projects, managing relationships across jurisdictions, and ensuring adherence to risk and compliance processes. The consultant will also participate in client relationship development, assist in identifying business opportunities, and manage internal practice functions such as billing and reporting. The candidate should have a background in accounting or law, strong tax technical knowledge, and at least four years of relevant experience.

Key responsibilities
- Participates in proposals for tax projects and multifunctional projects including proposal writing, coordination with other parties for inputs into the proposal, and client interaction during the proposal process.
- Delivers high quality tax engagements for manager / partner review in a timely manner.
- Starts to build relationships with other functions and network offices, as well as lawyers, investment managers, and other relevant external contact networks.
- Coordinates with other offices in a multi-office engagement, and reviews inputs received from such offices to deliver timely overall outputs to senior management.
- Ensures that risk processes are adhered to at all times and consults internally and with the risk team for deviations from the standard.
- Ensures that practice management is up-to-date including prompt submission of timesheets, client files, billing, collection, WIP review, payouts, and engagement closure documentation.
- Communicates regularly with the partner / director on client, people, risk, and practice management matters and seeks input on key decisions and issues.
Experience & skills
- ADIT/Accounting (CA, ACCA, CPA) or legal qualification.
- At least 4 years of international corporate tax consulting or M&A experience.
- Basic to good knowledge of international holding structures, tax treaty networks, fund structuring, tax policy, and tax risk management.
- Experience in tax due diligence.
- Basic to practical knowledge of tax accounting, transfer pricing, and international executive services tax principles.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management.
- Experience assisting partners/directors in identifying business targets and implementing development plans.
- Good knowledge and application of risk management including documentation and issue escalation.
- Basic to good practice management skills including debtors, timesheets, billing, and recovery follow-up.
- Good report writing skills including ability to write tax reports and opinions.
- Good project management skills, coordinating teams across jurisdictions.
- Fluent in English ā verbal and written; Arabic is an advantage.
