Job description
Large-scale infrastructure projects across the aviation sector sit at the center of this Senior Cost Estimator role, with pre-contract cost estimates, cost plans, and benchmarking prepared and led throughout each project lifecycle. Bills of Quantities and pre-tender estimates get developed and managed using CESSM and other industry standards, feeding directly into procurement strategy development covering packaging, tendering, and contract formation. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to keep design intent and cost objectives aligned across every project phase. Tender documentation, including pricing schedules and contract conditions, gets prepared and reviewed carefully before submission. Market analysis runs alongside supply chain engagement to inform cost data and procurement planning decisions. Risk and value management functions receive support, alongside cost control activities that keep projects on budget. Commercial risks get identified, analysed, and responded to as they surface, and attendance at commercial meetings rounds out the role's representation duties. Masterplanning experience and a background in pre-contract quantity surveying for infrastructure and civil engineering projects matter here, with preference given to experience across major international events such as expos, sports events, and cultural festivals.
