Job description
Senior Associate Business Development – SME Asset Team responsible for sourcing new business volumes through various sales activities focused on POS Loans (Merchant Acquiring), POS buyout Finance, SSBL, LAP, and LRD product sales within the United Arab Emirates under Fulltime Office (FTO) work arrangement. The role involves end-to-end sales ownership including self-sourcing new loan applications, sourcing new clients, managing complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to closure, and maintaining strong pipeline management across SME customers. The position requires driving SME Asset Team growth through acquisition of merchants and business clients for POS Loans and Merchant Acquiring solutions, executing POS buyout finance opportunities, and promoting secured lending products including SSBL, Loan Against Property (LAP), and Lease Rental Discounting (LRD). Responsibilities include portfolio management of acquired clients, maintaining relationships with SME customers, cross-selling insurance products to enhance revenue streams, and ensuring consistent business volume growth. The role requires direct client engagement, sales targeting, pipeline conversion, loan origination, and portfolio monitoring activities while delivering end-to-end sales responsibilities including documentation, follow-ups, and deal closures. The Senior Associate Business Development is expected to independently drive new client acquisition, manage SME lending opportunities, execute sales strategies for secured lending products, and support growth of POS financing and merchant acquiring solutions through proactive business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Source new business volumes through proactive sales activities targeting SME clients for POS Loans (Merchant Acquiring), POS buyout Finance, SSBL, LAP, and LRD products while identifying opportunities within target markets and driving revenue growth for SME Asset Team.
- Execute end-to-end sales cycle including lead generation, client engagement, product presentation, negotiation, documentation, application submission, follow-up, and self-closure of loan transactions across SME secured lending and POS financing solutions.
- Self-source new loan applications by identifying potential SME clients, conducting client outreach, evaluating financing needs, and converting leads into approved loan opportunities for POS Loans, Merchant Acquiring, POS buyout Finance, SSBL, LAP, and LRD products.
- Acquire new clients by conducting business development activities including prospecting, cold calling, referrals, and market engagement to build pipeline of SME customers for secured lending and POS financing solutions.
- Manage client portfolio by maintaining relationships with acquired customers, monitoring account performance, ensuring customer retention, identifying upsell opportunities, and maintaining healthy business portfolio growth.
- Cross-sell insurance products to SME clients within the portfolio, identify customer needs, present suitable insurance offerings, and generate additional revenue streams aligned with business objectives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including credit, operations, and product teams to ensure smooth processing of loan applications, timely approvals, and seamless client onboarding while ensuring compliance with internal processes.
- Track sales pipeline, monitor performance metrics, manage documentation, maintain customer records, and ensure achievement of assigned business development targets across SME POS Loans and secured lending product portfolio.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate experience in business development activities within SME segment including sourcing new business volumes, acquiring clients, and managing POS Loans, Merchant Acquiring, POS buyout Finance, SSBL, LAP, and LRD product sales.
- Demonstrate ability to perform end-to-end sales including self-sourcing loan applications, managing sales lifecycle, conducting client engagement, and achieving self-closure of SME lending transactions.
- Demonstrate experience in SME lending, secured lending, POS financing, and merchant acquiring solutions with ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into approved financing deals.
- Demonstrate ability to acquire new SME clients through business development activities including prospecting, pipeline generation, and client relationship management across secured lending products.
- Demonstrate experience in portfolio management including maintaining client relationships, monitoring customer accounts, and identifying cross-sell opportunities within SME portfolio.
- Demonstrate experience in cross-selling insurance products to SME clients while identifying customer needs and generating additional revenue opportunities.
- Demonstrate ability to manage sales pipeline, track performance, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure timely processing and closure of loan applications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of SME financial products including POS Loans, Merchant Acquiring, POS buyout Finance, SSBL, LAP, and LRD with ability to drive business growth through proactive sales initiatives.
