Job description
As a Manager in the Financial Services Audit team at Grant Thornton UAE, you will support senior colleagues in preparing audit strategies, managing portfolios, reviewing work, and leading audit teams. Youâll be the key contact for clients while contributing to business development and innovation. Youâll work across a diverse client base including SMEs, international groups, and listed companies, particularly focusing on financial services institutions. The role involves managing audits from planning through to finalisation, maintaining professional standards, mentoring junior staff, and helping shape the firmâs future.

Key responsibilities
- Leading on audit reviews, agreeing audit timetables, briefing the audit team and monitoring budgets
- Ensuring all allocated work is done profitably and timely, in accordance with the firm's professional standards
- Managing, motivating, and coaching team members with regular feedback
- Handling a diverse client portfolio across different industries and markets
- Assisting the Audit Partner in establishing audit objectives and overall scope
- Planning and coordinating all aspects of audit planning, including resourcing requirements
- Reviewing audit work papers and ensuring audit files are completed in a timely manner
- Finalising draft reports for management
Experience & skills
- 6+ years of External Audit experience in a top international firm
- Professionally qualified (ACA, CPA, ACCA)
- Strong experience auditing Financial Services institutions
- Confidence in IFRS, internal controls, and financial statement consolidation
- Experience managing complex group audits and delegating workloads
- Ability to manage a large portfolio and handle multiple engagements simultaneously
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong leadership, analytical, and networking skills
- Willingness to work additional hours and travel as needed
