Job description
The Finance Manager (Finance Managed Services) at PwC in Riyadh is responsible for managing day-to-day operations for engagement teams within the Finance Service Tower, delivering Finance Managed Services to clients across the Middle East region. The role entails execution of finance processes, ensuring service-level performance, and fostering continuous improvement and learning within the team. The manager oversees financial transaction processing across end-to-end finance processes including procure to pay, record to report, order to cash, and general ledger functions. They demonstrate a deep understanding of financial reporting processes, risk management, and internal controls, as well as apply financial modeling and analytical skills for holistic financial interpretation. Responsibilities extend to quality reviews and audits to ensure adherence to policies, compliance standards, and client expectations, as well as accountability for SLA/OLA compliance. The role also requires strong understanding of accounting/reporting systems, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet management, alongside knowledge of US GAAP, insurance or reinsurance accounting, and accounting for financial instruments. The Finance Manager also contributes to Finance Managed Services strategic plans and programs, manages workload and team performance, implements corrective actions, drives quality improvement initiatives, and mentors engagement teams to achieve excellence. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to manage KPIs, workflows, and client relationships are essential. Fluency in English and Arabic is required. A Bachelorās Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is mandatory, with a Masterās Degree and certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred.

- Manage the day-to-day delivery for Finance engagements including oversight of key customer deliverables and outputs.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions across end-to-end finance processes including procure to pay, record to report, order to cash, and general ledger functions.
- Demonstrate sound understanding of financial reporting processes, risk, and controls.
- Complete quality reviews and audits to ensure delivery is aligned with established policies, procedures, compliance standards, and customer expectations.
- Hold overall accountability for SLA and OLA compliance within the engagement team across Finance processes.
- Apply analytical and financial modeling skills with holistic financial thinking and ability to interpret financial data.
- Manage workload and engagement team reporting, tracking progress and handling issue escalations.
- Monitor performance of team members and implement coaching to enhance engagement outcomes.
- Mentor and motivate engagement team members to foster a culture of excellence, high performance, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with peers and managers to drive ideas and solutions improving client and PwC efficiency.
- Implement and adapt to new or changing processes quickly.
- Build relationships with all team members within PwC and engage with client teams and their customers.
- Implement corrective actions to address deviations and continuously improve service delivery based on feedback.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives based on client and internal feedback.
- Support execution of Finance Managed Services plans and programs to improve team performance and achieve objectives.
Experience & skills
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5+ years experience in a role relevant to Accounting or Financial Reporting.
- Minimum of 3+ years people management experience leading a team in a complex process environment and managing workflow to deliver client outcomes.
- Strong practical knowledge of accounting/reporting systems, Profit & Loss, and Balance Sheet.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting processes with experience managing risk and controls.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and Insurance or Reinsurance accounting experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of accounting for financial instruments.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- Experience defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure finance operations effectiveness and efficiency.
- Experience coaching and coordinating a team to meet deadlines and performance expectations.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Bachelorās Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management / Administration or equivalent; Masterās preferred.
- Certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar are advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while demonstrating analytical and commercial awareness.
