Job description
The Senior Manager – Relationship Management role within QNB Kuwait Corporate Banking is responsible for proactively supporting and managing a designated corporate customer portfolio to enhance profitability, growth, and service quality in line with QNB’s business plans, credit policies, and procedures. Acting in an AVP-level capacity, the role supports the Vice President in developing and managing banking relationships, extending the full range of corporate banking products and services including credit, deposits, and international transactions. The position involves comprehensive credit proposal preparation, ongoing credit reviews, early risk identification, portfolio monitoring, compliance with regulatory and internal policies, and coordination with credit risk, compliance, audit, and operational teams. The role also ensures adherence to QNB’s legal, regulatory, and risk frameworks, supports performance monitoring through KPIs and management reporting, and maintains strong internal and external stakeholder relationships while upholding high standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and market conduct.

Key responsibilities
- Support the VP in managing and developing a designated corporate customer portfolio to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets
- Act as a relationship manager for assigned corporate clients, maintaining and developing long-term banking relationships
- Assist in preparing comprehensive credit proposals for new and prospective customers in line with QNB credit standards
- Prepare and support periodic credit reviews for existing facilities, addressing current risk factors and market developments
- Monitor customer credit positions to ensure compliance with approved limits and QNB investment and credit strategy
- Identify, monitor, and escalate early warning signals and negative events on potentially problematic accounts
- Liaise with Credit Risk, Credit Administration, and Head Office teams to ensure timely documentation and approvals
- Support preparation of management and business information reports for senior management
- Ensure compliance with QNB policies, regulatory requirements, and best corporate banking practices
- Maintain effective relationships with internal departments, auditors, compliance, and risk functions
- Support adherence to AML, CTF, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, and conduct risk policies
- Ensure confidentiality and data protection of customer and internal bank information
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Possess at least 8 years of relevant experience in corporate banking within a large local or international bank
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of corporate banking products, credit processes, and related risks
- Exhibit experience in customer portfolio management, credit analysis, and relationship development
- Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and market practices for corporate banking customers
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with Arabic or other local languages as an advantage
