Job description
Emirates NBD, a leading banking group across MENAT, is seeking an FX Specialist to drive growth by activating new FX business and increasing wallet share from SME clients. The role requires deep knowledge of FX products and SME banking services, with responsibility for coaching relationship managers, enhancing client engagement, and deploying risk and product suitability best practices. The position involves collaboration across retail banking, treasury, and product teams to ensure ENBD secures its position as the main banking partner for its SME customer base.

Key responsibilities
- Maintain close contact and relationship with respective portfolios of customers such that we remain one of main bank getting their major share of wallet
- Support Head of Cross sell with market feedback to develop differentiated sales and business development approach for different regions
- Assess product risk, reputation risk and product suitability by deploying global best practices
- Coach Business Banking Relationship Managers to enhance FX business generation opportunities
- Ensure optimum client calls are conducted on a weekly basis to maximize primary transaction banking sales
- Work closely with all products and channel partners from retail banking to maximize opportunities provided through regular contact, feedback, co-ordination and cross referrals
- Drive FX penetration by introducing new-to-FX clients and expanding share of wallet among existing SME portfolios
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling treasury solutions, ensuring clients benefit from ENBD’s full FX product basket
- Support revenue growth through innovative FX sales strategies aligned with regional and global market trends
- Provide expertise on market competition, industry practices, and regional regulatory environment to inform product development and strategy
Experience & skills
- Preferably a management graduate with 5-7 years relevant working experience
- MBA in Finance or Bachelor's degree (Essential)
- In-depth knowledge of FX products, services & delivery channels available for SME customers in the region
- Analytical thinking, forward thinking, fair minded
- Strong analytical, problem solving, networking and financial management skills
- Informed in market competition, industry practices and regulations for Business banking
- Arabic Speaker is a must
- Experience in relationship management, client coverage, or treasury sales
- Proven track record of delivering FX revenue growth through client acquisition and retention strategies
- Ability to coach and mentor frontline relationship managers in FX product knowledge and sales techniques
- Comfortable working across diverse teams and product lines, particularly in business banking and treasury functions
