Job description
Fairmont the Red Sea, part of Raffles & Fairmont the Red Sea within Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Project, is a luxury resort property located in Umluj featuring 361 rooms, eleven distinct dining concepts including an overwater restaurant overlooking the Red Sea and surrounding mangroves, a Spa, and proximity to an 18-hole championship golf course. The destination is positioned along 200km of untouched coastline across an archipelago of more than 90 unspoiled islands with dormant volcanoes, rich marine habitats, and ancient archaeological sites, and aims to set new standards in sustainable development and ultra-luxury hospitality. The Assistant Director of Housekeeping supports leadership of housekeeping operations to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, maintenance, and guest satisfaction across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The role operates within a luxury hospitality environment and requires expertise in housekeeping management, luxury hospitality standards, quality control processes, safety regulations, health regulations, environmental regulations, and Saudi Arabian hospitality regulations. The position oversees operational efficiency and financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and labor cost control while managing supplies and equipment. The role requires proficiency with hotel management software and the MS Office suite to support operational reporting, departmental planning, and documentation. As part of the resort’s pre-opening phase, the position contributes to project coordination, scheduling, and document control to support successful operational readiness of a new ultra-luxury property. The role collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless guest experiences, manages VIP guest requests, and implements innovative industry practices aligned with evolving luxury hospitality trends. Fluency in English is required and Arabic language capability is highly preferred, supporting engagement with international guests, staff, and department heads. The position also requires familiarity with Middle Eastern hospitality customs and the operational requirements associated with opening new luxury properties, ensuring brand alignment with Fairmont standards and meeting ultra-luxury guest expectations.
