The Senior Manager / Director – Connected Tax Compliance & Managed Services role at PwC Middle East is a senior leadership position within the Tax & Legal Services practice, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role operates within PwC’s regional tax services line, which focuses on providing advice and guidance on tax planning, compliance, and strategy, and specifically within the indirect tax business unit covering value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax, and other indirect taxes. The position supports the Middle East Connected Tax Compliance (CTC) Leader in executing the regional CTC growth and go-to-market strategy and is responsible for leading pipeline growth, targeting, and winning Connected Tax Compliance and tax transformation opportunities. The role acts as a senior client-facing advisor, leading end-to-end Connected Tax Compliance and Managed Services engagements and delivering operating model transformation solutions. Responsibilities include providing tax technical expertise across compliance and transformation engagements, overseeing engagement delivery quality and client experience, and confidently articulating technology-enabled compliance solutions. The role also involves significant business development responsibilities, including leading client presentations, RFP responses, proposal writing, and pursuits, as well as leading, coaching, and developing the core CTC/Managed Services delivery team. The position requires a strong understanding of tax technology, data, and ERP environments, and operates within PwC’s broader professional services network spanning 152 countries and hundreds of thousands of professionals delivering assurance, tax, and advisory services.

Key responsibilities
- Support the Middle East Connected Tax Compliance Leader in executing the regional Connected Tax Compliance growth and go-to-market strategy
- Lead pipeline growth, opportunity targeting, and winning of Connected Tax Compliance and tax transformation engagements
- Lead client presentations, RFP responses, and proposal writing to drive strategic tax pursuits and wins
- Act as a senior client-facing advisor leading end-to-end Connected Tax Compliance and Managed Services engagements
- Deliver end-to-end Connected Tax Compliance, Managed Services, and operating model transformation solutions
- Provide tax technical expertise and leadership across tax compliance and tax transformation engagements
- Oversee engagement delivery, quality assurance, and overall client experience
- Present and articulate technology-enabled tax compliance solutions to clients with confidence
- Execute business development and go-to-market activities across the Connected Tax Compliance offering
- Lead, coach, and develop the core Connected Tax Compliance and Managed Services delivery team
Experience & skills
- Hold Senior Manager or Director-level experience within professional services or a complex in-house tax environment
- Demonstrate strong experience in tax transformation, tax compliance, tax advisory, and operating model design
- Possess a solid tax technical background across indirect tax areas including VAT, GST, sales tax, and other indirect taxes
- Show a proven track record of winning client work, leading RFP processes, proposal writing, and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Demonstrate experience with proposal writing, RFP responses, and tax pursuit management
- Exhibit a strong understanding of tax technology, data, and ERP environments supporting compliance and transformation
- Demonstrate the ability to manage senior client relationships and lead complex engagements end-to-end
- Show collaborative leadership capability with experience influencing across teams and geographies
- Demonstrate commitment to developing people and building high-performing delivery teams within tax and managed services environments
