Job description
The International Tax Manager within Group Tax at Al-Futtaim Private Company LLC is responsible for managing global tax planning, tax risk, and tax compliance activities across the Group’s diversified international operations spanning automotive, financial services, real estate, retail, and healthcare sectors across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The role owns and implements the Group Tax strategy, covering tax planning, tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax accounting, tax documentation, and risk management. The position works closely with internal business units, finance leadership, group tax teams, and external service providers to ensure effective execution of tax strategies aligned with regulatory requirements and business objectives. Responsibilities include managing tax provisions, supervising tax-related general ledger balances, ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns in line with jurisdiction-specific tax calendars, identifying tax planning opportunities within defined tax risk frameworks, managing tax audits and controversies, and ensuring adherence to transfer pricing regulations with robust documentation. The role requires strong expertise in international taxation and MENA tax regulations, along with the ability to support complex business transactions, acquisitions, and cross-border operations while maintaining compliance, governance, and risk mitigation across the Group’s global footprint.

- Manage the implementation of the Group Tax strategy covering tax planning, compliance, and tax risk management.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and provide tax advisory support on business transactions and acquisitions.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns in accordance with applicable tax calendars.
- Identify tax planning opportunities within approved tax risk management frameworks.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across global operations.
- Manage the tax provision process and supervise tax balances within the general ledger.
- Manage tax audits and tax controversies in collaboration with business units and external advisers.
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and maintain required transfer pricing documentation.
- Collaborate with group tax and finance management teams to support effective tax strategy execution.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors and service providers to ensure compliance and best practice implementation.
Experience & skills
- Professional certification in Tax, Finance, or Accounting.
- 8–10 years of experience in an international tax environment.
- Strong knowledge of MENA tax regulations.
- Proficiency in tax technical skills and tax accounting.
- Experience in tax planning, compliance, transfer pricing, and tax risk management.
- Fluent English language proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Experience managing tax audits, tax provisions, and transfer pricing documentation.
