Job description
The Events Manager role at the Museum of the Future, part of the Dubai Future Foundation, sits within the Commercial team and is responsible for defining event strategy and leading the execution of all major events and activations to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and revenue goals. The role oversees the complete event lifecycle including strategic planning, budgeting, execution, and post-event analysis while delivering world-class customer experiences. Acting as the primary liaison for high-value clients, top-tier vendors, and key governmental entities, the Events Manager drives flawless coordination across internal departments and external stakeholders. The position includes leadership of the Events team, development and refinement of SOPs and best practices, proactive operational, security, and logistical risk mitigation, strict compliance with legal, health and safety, and permit regulations, and management of approved catering vendors to ensure competitive client pricing. The role also delivers comprehensive post-event financial and customer satisfaction reporting and presents strategic recommendations to senior leadership to enhance long-term service quality and the museum’s reputation within the events industry.

Key responsibilities
- Define event strategy and lead execution of all major events and activations in alignment with organizational and revenue objectives
- Oversee the full event lifecycle including planning, budgeting, execution, and post-event evaluation
- Act as the primary liaison for high-value clients, top-tier vendors, and governmental entities to ensure alignment and issue resolution
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Events team while fostering accountability and innovation
- Design, implement, and refine SOPs and best practices for consistent, high-quality event delivery
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, security, and logistical risks while ensuring compliance with legal, health and safety, and permit requirements
- Manage the selection, vetting, and performance of approved catering companies to secure optimal client rates
- Conduct comprehensive post-event reviews and prepare detailed financial performance and customer satisfaction reports
- Present strategic insights and recommendations to the Head of Commercial and leadership team for service improvement
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Have a minimum of 7 years of experience managing events within hospitality, attractions, or the events industry
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial events role
- Show a proven track record in managing large-scale, complex events
- Exhibit strong strategic vision, operational expertise across the full event lifecycle, and the ability to manage stakeholders and regulatory requirements
