Job description
The Manager – Inspection is responsible for managing and directing inspection operations within DP World, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and organizational performance standards. The role involves providing specialist knowledge, coaching, training, and development to team members, directing inspection plan execution, reviewing complex inspection reports with financial implications, authorizing critical reports, and resolving operational and compliance issues. The position requires coordination with internal departments and external governmental agencies including Trakhees, Dubai Police, and Dubai Customs, participation in security planning, management of violations and claims, communication of company policies, and oversight of financial planning and budgeting for the inspection section. The role ensures that inspection operations are performed accurately, timely, and in compliance with rules and regulations, safeguarding Parks and Zones/Jafza interests.

Key responsibilities
- Manage and direct inspection operations and provide specialist knowledge to the team
- Develop and execute inspection plans based on business requirements
- Resolve complex operational and compliance problems and escalate as needed
- Review inspection reports involving financial actions and ensure corrective measures
- Authorize critical or complex reports involving fines in line with delegation of authority
- Contribute to security planning and management of violations and claims
- Liaise with internal departments and external governmental agencies such as Trakhees, Dubai Police, and Dubai Customs
- Communicate company policies effectively and resolve customer complaints
- Oversee financial planning and budgeting for the inspection unit
- Perform other duties as assigned by the direct line manager
Experience & skills
- Proven experience in inspection operations, compliance, or ports and supply chain management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to develop and execute inspection plans effectively
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Experience in financial assessment of inspection reports and authorization processes
- Stakeholder management and liaison skills with government and internal departments
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Communication skills for effective policy dissemination and customer complaint resolution
- Financial planning and budgeting experience
