Job description
The Senior Manager Inventory (EM) serves as a financial advisor and strategic business partner across the DP community, product supply, purchasing, and brand organizations. The role provides fact-based data to enable decision-making, supports the head of DP HUB in building inventory targets, tracks and monitors KPIs, and drives business performance through on-time, accurate analysis. Responsibilities include guiding the health of aged inventory, connecting inventory impact with OWC and cash, participating in monthly IBP inventory reviews, and building a governance framework for EM inventory management. The role requires optimizing inventory processes, providing transparency on KPIs including Net Sales, volume, IDL, and year-end inventory, collaborating with DNA to improve reporting and analytical tools, and continuously identifying innovative solutions for inventory management. The Senior Manager interacts with DP clusters, EM Brand teams, merchandising, SCM, finance, DNA, and the Global DP team to ensure alignment and optimized inventory levels. The role demands comprehensive business understanding, strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and the ability to operate cross-functionally in a dynamic environment, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and integrity.

Key responsibilities
- Support strategic planning and translate business targets into actionable inventory management plans
- Ensure compliance with financial guidelines and identify critical processes, advising solutions where necessary
- Develop and inspire new processes and reporting standards to improve inventory transparency and decision-making
- Enable fact-based decision-making by providing clear visibility on key performance indicators such as Net Sales, volume, IDL, and inventory year-end status
- Collaborate with DNA to enhance reporting tools, analytical frameworks, and data-driven insights
- Engage with business partners to optimize inventory levels across markets and regions
- Continuously seek and implement innovative solutions to improve overall inventory management efficiency
- Monitor aged inventory health, OWC impact, and cash flow implications, providing guidance to leadership for corrective actions
Experience & skills
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Controlling
- Comprehensive understanding of system landscape including IBP, SAP, Power BI, Microstrategy, M-3, and master data systems
- 8+ years of professional experience in Finance, SCM, or inventory management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to manage large datasets from multiple sources
- Ability to operate cross-functionally, think and act strategically, and provide business advisory support
- Proficiency in KPI tracking, reporting standards development, and decision support for inventory optimization
- Excellent communication skills, persuasive abilities, and business fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience with inventory management and understanding of its impact on working capital and cash flow
