Job description
The Vice President - Business Excellence at Aldar Corporate is responsible for leading the efforts to improve execution and performance of work practices across Aldar toward operational excellence and ensuring continuous transformation into a Global Leading organization. The role sets the overall business excellence strategy, drives internal stakeholder buy-in, and develops and monitors the Aldar Business Excellence Model in alignment with International Business Excellence Frameworks such as EFQM. The position oversees implementation of excellence requirements across the organization to ensure alignment with the Excellence model and manages ISO certifications including ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO30401 Knowledge Management, ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management, and ISO/IEC 27000 Information Security, ensuring full compliance with required operational standards. The Vice President leads development and updating of policies to strengthen internal controls, clarify applicability, and align with Quality Guidelines while securing stakeholder engagement and Board approval. The role manages local and regional recognition and certifications such as EFQM Model assessment and acts as focal point of contact for communications with external parties regarding business excellence awards. Responsibilities include implementing a centralized Quality Management System (QMS), conducting periodic performance evaluations and operational reviews of QMS elements, reporting maturity and implementation status to the Management Committee, and managing the implementation of the Service Management Framework through development of Service Cards, Service Catalogues, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The position oversees ISO-related consulting initiatives, designs and implements big data analytics formats to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement, leads BU-wide service quality programs across operations, sales, and customer services, and directs quality control improvement plans supported by training programs. The role requires benchmarking business excellence best practices, gap analysis, standardization of tools and procedures, and adherence to global standards within the real estate and corporate governance domain.

Key responsibilities
- Set the overall business excellence strategy and ensure buy-in of internal stakeholders
- Develop and monitor Aldar Business Excellence Model according to International Business Excellence Frameworks (e.g., EFQM)
- Oversee implementation of Excellence requirements across Aldar to ensure alignment to the Excellence model
- Manage ISO certifications and implement operational requirements to achieve ISO standards
- Lead development and updating of policies to ensure internal controls, clarity, and alignment with Quality Guidelines, seeking Board approval
- Manage local and regional recognition/certification processes and act as focal point for external business excellence communications
- Implement a centralized Quality Management System to establish internal controls and identify critical operational improvements
- Conduct periodic performance evaluation and operational reviews of QMS elements and report maturity and implementation status to Management Committee
- Manage implementation of Service Management Framework by analyzing services, developing Service Cards, Catalogues, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Coordinate all consulting expertise engaged on ISO-related initiatives
- Design and implement big data formats to support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement
- Plan, prepare, and execute BU-wide service quality program incorporating operations, sales, and customer services
- Design, develop, and implement quality control improvement plans including training programs
- Study and benchmark business excellence best practices within and outside the industry
- Direct team for effective implementation of quality procedures and adherence to global standards
- Analyze gaps and equip the team with standardized tools, processes, and procedures
Experience & skills
- Minimum 10+ years experience in business excellence domain or similar function
- Minimum 2+ years in a related managerial position
- Experience in real estate and corporate governance
- Lean Green Belt certification
- Six Sigma/ISO certification
- EFQM and other relevant quality certifications
- Auditor accreditation preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, project management, or related field
- Master’s degree in business administration advantageous
