Key responsibilities
- Establish rapport with clients, understand their business and expectations, and exceed them.
- Keep clients updated on tax matters, meet their demands, and foster trust and respect.
- Manage a variety of technical tax issues and client situations with expertise.
- Deliver smart, proactive, and reactive solutions to client tax issues.
- Prepare high-quality tax reports and professionally presented documents with minimal input from directors or partners.
- Manage a team of Indirect Tax professionals.
Experience & skills
- 5+ years of experience in VAT/GST.
- Professionally qualified (CTA or equivalent).
- UAE VAT experience.
- Current relevant knowledge of VAT Act and relevant case law.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation capability.
- Excellent analytical, organization, and engagement management skills.
- Fluent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Arabic speaking is advantageous.
- Technically strong with experience of advising clients on sophisticated tax-related issues.
- Willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites.
