Job description
Capital, liquidity, credit and market risk sit at the centre of the Financial Services work this Senior Consultant handles in Grant Thornton's Business Risk Services team in Abu Dhabi. Assignments run independently and cover stress testing, internal risk models, data management and risk reporting. Some projects start with a current state assessment and gap analysis, then move into Target Operating Model design and updated risk management policies and procedures. Internal audit engagements follow a familiar path, from draft terms of reference and audit planning through fieldwork, file reviews and close-out meetings. Junior colleagues work under your supervision, and you lead planning and exit meetings with clients. Reports and recommendations need to reflect what each client wants and can realistically implement. Billing, collections and profitability budgets also form part of the job, alongside proposal writing. Expect to bring at least 3 years in internal audit or risk management at a top international consulting firm, a qualified CA UK, CPA, ACA or ACCA, and strong data analytics skills, with Arabic an advantage.
