Job description
The Forward Deployed Engineer role is a senior-level, hands-on position that focuses on designing, developing, and deploying complex AI-driven solutions leveraging the Agentforce platform and other cutting-edge technologies. This role involves leading technical engagements, mentoring junior peers, and serving as a trusted advisor to strategic clients. Responsibilities include building bespoke AI/LLM-based intelligent agents, managing enterprise-scale data integration, rapid prototyping, troubleshooting, and ensuring best practices for scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. The position combines technical leadership, deep AI expertise, and strong client engagement to deliver transformative outcomes.

Key responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end technical delivery of complex AI solutions, including coding, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Design and develop scalable production systems leveraging AI and LLM-based intelligent agents.
- Build bespoke agentic AI solutions using the Agentforce platform tailored to unique client needs.
- Manage the entire data lifecycle from data modeling to processing pipelines and integration strategies.
- Identify and resolve technical blockers in data integration, model deployment, and agent orchestration.
- Push the boundaries of the Agentforce platform by developing advanced intelligent agents and business process automations.
- Embed with client teams to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis of complex system interactions and AI behaviors.
- Lead rapid prototyping and iteration to demonstrate capabilities and refine solutions with client feedback.
- Enforce best practices in code quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor junior team members and oversee technical aspects of projects.
Experience & skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering scalable production solutions.
- Strong background in Computer Science or related engineering field.
- Expert proficiency in at least one language: JavaScript, Java, Python, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience building AI/LLM solutions including integration, orchestration frameworks, and prompt engineering.
- Proficiency in enterprise data platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
- Significant Salesforce platform experience including advanced customization and development.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to lead technical initiatives and deliver impact quickly.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead technical engagements and mentor junior engineers.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% to customer sites.
