Job description
The Facilities Supervisor oversees preventative maintenance and emergency repairs across all properties in the portfolio, ensuring that premises and equipment are operating efficiently. The role entails managing external suppliers and monitoring services and equipment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role that demands strong engineering experience, excellent oversight of building systems, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and effective relationships across stakeholders. It's suited for professionals with strong technical expertise and supervisory experience in a fast-paced retail and property environment.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules for properties and their technical assets.
- Coordinate and supervise emergency repairs across the property portfolio.
- Manage third-party suppliers and contractors ensuring service level agreements are met.
- Continuously monitor equipment performance and service quality in retail facilities.
- Ensure timely intervention and troubleshooting for HVAC, lighting, and electrical systems.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive operational, commercial, and technical information.
- Oversee a wide range of building services ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards.
- Provide technical supervision and support to in-house teams and vendors.
- Ensure all maintenance and engineering disciplines such as AC, lighting, switchgear, and chiller systems are fully operational and properly maintained.
- Support the property department in achieving operational readiness and technical compliance across facilities.
Experience & skills
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in a hands-on role as an electrical maintenance technician.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a retail environment handling facility operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role overseeing electrical maintenance and engineering functions.
- Proven experience managing AC systems, power generation, HVAC/environmental controls, chiller plants, lighting, motors, switchgear, and electrical installations.
- Good computer literacy for reporting, planning, and technical documentation.
- Strong technical awareness with the ability to oversee building service systems and maintenance compliance.
