Job description
Under direct supervision, the ESG-Procurement Specialist, Associate is responsible for issuing purchase orders based on material requirements from various departments such as manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management. This role supports Category Management strategies and procurement compliance, assists in supplier evaluations, handles Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt (GRIR) issues, and contributes to sourcing and RFQ processes to ensure procurement quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. The position requires strong analytical and ERP (SAP) knowledge and offers growth opportunities within one of the worldâs largest energy service providers.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders based on established material requirements
- Comply with and support Category Management strategy and policies
- Expedite, de-expedite, and issue change orders as needed
- Assist in resolving Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt (GRIR) issues
- Support creation of RFQs and manage supplier bid processes
- Help evaluate supplier performance and sourcing decisions
- Ensure procurement actions align with cost containment and operational efficiency goals
Experience & skills
- Undergraduate degree in technical, business, or similar discipline
- Knowledge of SAP Purchase to Pay is desirable
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor coordination
- Ability to work under supervision and manage entry-level procurement tasks
- Analytical skills and familiarity with invoice and goods receipt reconciliation
