Job description
Responsible for directing and developing the overall strategy of the Leasing & Licensing function, ensuring alignment with company objectives and enhancing customer satisfaction through streamlined processes and rapid execution. Acts as the approval authority for transactions, manages departmental performance, mitigates risks, ensures full legal and procedural compliance, and advises senior leadership. Handles complex cases to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes while driving profitability and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities
- Direct and develop the overall strategy of the lease and license function, ensuring alignment with overall business strategies and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Perform as approval authority in lease and license transactions, ensuring processing in line with relevant delegation of authority and acting on behalf of the Registrar of the Authority.
- Maintain financial performance of the business by monitoring resource allocation and achieving budget targets.
- Manage achievement of departmental accountabilities through target alignment, planning, execution, and reporting standards.
- Lead, manage, and execute planning, development, and implementation of plans and programs in accordance with departmental strategy.
- Mitigate company risk through due diligence, vigilant assessments, and audits of leasing and licensing transactions.
- Ensure full governance and compliance with UAE Federal Law, company policy, and industry standards.
- Direct, motivate, and develop the team to achieve excellence in service delivery impacting profitability.
- Act as top advisor and subject matter expert to provide solutions and recommendations for business decisions.
- Handle the most complex cases and situations, ensuring resolution achieves a win-win outcome.
Experience & skills
- Extensive experience in leasing and licensing functions within large commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of UAE Federal Law and industry standards related to leasing and licensing.
- Proven track record in financial performance monitoring and achieving budget targets.
- Experience in risk mitigation, due diligence, and compliance auditing.
- Senior leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Expertise in strategic planning, execution, and governance.
- Ability to handle complex transactions and negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills.
