Job description
The Civil Engineer – Structural role is responsible for supporting the design, analysis, and execution of structural works within a dynamic engineering and technical services environment in Dubai, UAE. The position focuses on ensuring structural integrity, compliance with local construction codes and international construction standards, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and consultants. The role involves preparing and reviewing structural designs, engineering calculations, and technical drawings while conducting structural analysis to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with project requirements. The Civil Engineer evaluates construction materials and design specifications for various construction and infrastructure projects and ensures adherence to approved drawings during construction. The position includes coordinating with site teams, providing technical support during construction, resolving on-site issues, reviewing construction progress, and monitoring project timelines and deliverables. The role also involves quality assurance responsibilities including conducting site inspections, verifying structural elements, identifying deviations or non-conformities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The Civil Engineer prepares technical reports, maintains records of drawings and revisions, supports submission of documentation to authorities and consultants, and ensures proper documentation for audits and project handovers. The role requires proficiency in structural design software including ETABS, STAAD, and SAFE, strong understanding of structural design principles and analysis, and experience in engineering consultancy or technical services environments with exposure to diverse engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review structural designs, engineering calculations, and technical drawings ensuring compliance with project requirements, local construction codes, and international construction standards
- Conduct structural analysis and evaluate construction materials and design specifications for various construction and infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure proper implementation of structural designs and provide technical support during construction activities
- Review construction progress, resolve on-site structural issues, and ensure adherence to approved drawings and project deliverables

- Maintain compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements across structural works

- Assist in monitoring project timelines, deliverables, audits, and project handovers while maintaining complete documentation
Experience & skills
- Hold Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering with strong foundation in structural design principles and structural analysis
- Demonstrate 3–6 years of experience in structural design and site execution within construction or engineering consultancy environments
- Demonstrate proficiency in structural design software including ETABS, STAAD, and SAFE for structural modelling and analysis
- Demonstrate experience preparing structural calculations, technical drawings, and design documentation for construction projects
- Demonstrate knowledge of local construction codes and international construction standards applicable to structural engineering projects
- Demonstrate experience coordinating with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Demonstrate experience in quality assurance, site inspections, compliance verification, and regulatory requirements for structural works
- Demonstrate ability to prepare technical reports, maintain project documentation, and support submission to authorities and consultants
