Job description
The Human Capital Assistant Manager at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab is responsible for maintaining accurate and current colleague records via HRIS systems and physical files. The role supports the planning and implementation of engagement activities to foster a positive work culture and coordinates colleague accommodation and documentation in liaison with internal services. It includes conducting exit interviews for feedback, providing coaching and support to colleagues and managers to enhance communication, and ensuring effective resolution processes. The role requires a strong background in luxury hospitality or related sectors, with demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office, leadership, problem solving, and project management. The position reports to the Human Capital department of Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, a flagship destination with state-of-the-art facilities including a resort, superyacht marina, spa, and high-end dining. Candidates must possess a diploma or bachelor's in HR or hotel management and fluency in English.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date colleague records through the HRIS and employee files
- Plan and implement colleague engagement activities to promote a positive workplace culture
- Manage colleaguesâ accommodation needs and coordinate with colleague services and Group Services on required documentation
- Conduct exit interviews to collect valuable feedback and identify improvement opportunities
- Provide coaching and guidance to colleagues and managers, supporting effective communication and resolution
Experience & skills
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a 5-star luxury hotel or related industry
- Diploma in Hotel Management, Human Resources Management (or international equivalent) or Bachelorâs degree in HRM or international equivalent
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Intermediate), problem solving, leadership and team management, creativity, project management, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in English required; knowledge of additional languages relevant to key markets is advantageous but not mandatory
