Job description
The Manager – Court Orders Management plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with judicial and regulatory directives within the UAE banking sector. This role focuses on handling court instructions, managing compliance with the Central Bank of the UAE’s regulations, and ensuring the bank’s operations align with legal frameworks. The Manager acts as the liaison between the courts, regulators, and the bank, overseeing sensitive matters such as asset freezing/unfreezing, account scrutiny, and legal documentation. The position includes leading the Court Orders team, implementing automation of court case management systems, and contributing to digital transformation projects aligned with Vision 2035. The role demands strong legal expertise, risk awareness, and leadership capabilities to safeguard the bank’s reputation and ensure adherence to all judicial and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all court orders, including freezing/unfreezing accounts and asset recovery
- Oversee execution of judicial and regulatory directives within deadlines
- Act as primary liaison between the bank, courts, and regulatory authorities
- Ensure compliance with Central Bank circulars, notices, and requirements
- Assess, mitigate, and report on risks related to court orders and regulatory instructions
- Lead and mentor the Courts team, ensuring adherence to protocols and regulatory standards
- Provide training and upskilling for team members on compliance and court procedures
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and other departments
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation for courts, regulators, and audits
- Develop and implement policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Lead automation of the Court Case Management System as part of digital transformation
- Manage relationships with courts, regulators, and external legal advisors
- Oversee submission of official legal correspondence
- Support bank-wide technology initiatives aligned with Vision 2035
- Manage cross-functional IT and operations projects with clear risk/performance metrics
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong knowledge of UAE court system, legal frameworks, and banking regulations
- Proven experience in managing court orders, legal compliance, and Central Bank requirements
- Leadership skills with experience managing legal/compliance teams
- Ability to manage sensitive legal matters with confidentiality and accuracy
- Experience in automation and digital transformation of court/legal systems
- Strong stakeholder management skills with courts, regulators, and legal advisors
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (Arabic preferred)
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation in a banking/legal context
- Project management experience, especially in IT/legal transformation initiatives
