Job description
An experienced Performance Test Engineer role based in Dubai, responsible for planning, scripting, executing, and analyzing performance tests across enterprise systems. The engineer will collaborate closely with technical leads, architects, and QA teams to identify bottlenecks, optimize performance, and deliver high-quality results. The role requires strong hands-on experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, and middleware testing, particularly across Java EMS, TIBCO, and IBM MQ environments. Ideal for a detail-oriented individual with deep diagnostic skills in performance monitoring, dump analysis, and SQL optimization.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust performance test scripts using JMeter and LoadRunner
- Create and execute performance test plans in collaboration with Scrum and TCOE teams
- Identify and diagnose system bottlenecks using tools and log analysis
- Perform root cause analysis of performance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Generate performance test results reports and communicate findings to stakeholders
- Support middleware performance testing including MQ and Web Services
- Analyze heap/thread dumps and AWR reports for optimization insights
- Ensure testing covers all relevant protocols including HTTP/HTML, Java, JDBC, Ajax, TruClient, mobile, and web services
Experience & skills
- 8 years of experience in performance testing
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with JMeter
- Minimum 2 years of LoadRunner/Performance Center experience
- Strong knowledge of performance testing strategies and reporting
- Proficient in Java EMS, IBM MQ, and TIBCO
- Experience in middleware and web services testing
- Strong diagnostic skills including heap/thread dump and AWR analysis
- Fluency in SQL and performance optimization via SQL Developer
