Job description
At Julphar, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing procurement activities for both secondary and primary packaging materials. This includes sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, handling GMP-QMS responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The role involves maintaining supplier relations, following up on POs, updating SAP systems, and supporting logistics and documentation processes related to MOH approvals and freight handling. This position plays a critical part in enabling timely deliveries and smooth operations within the supply chain.

Key responsibilities
- Manage procurement of secondary and primary packaging materials.
- Follow up on POs for PPM, SPM, and R&D-related purchases.
- Source new suppliers and negotiate purchase terms.
- Ensure product compliance with specifications and manage delivery timelines.
- Check procurement history and validate repeat order pricing.
- Handle freight finalization and MOH documentation coordination where applicable.
- Maintain supplier relationships and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure SAP system is updated with delivery, shipment, and documentation status.
- Manage GMP-QMS activities such as Change Controls, CAPA, and Deviations.
- Comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate filing of procurement documentation.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree in Pharmaceuticals, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP systems.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical procurement processes.
- Experience in negotiating price and payment terms with vendors.
- Knowledge of GMP-QMS systems and documentation requirements.
- Ability to manage procurement-related logistics and documentation.
- Demonstrated accountability, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to process changes and support continuous improvement.
