Job description
The Senior Solutions Engineer (CDN, Networking, Security & SaaS) – Egypt, Kuwait & Bahrain at Cloudflare operates within the Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization, owning the technical sales of the Cloudflare solution portfolio to ensure maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design, and adoption roadmap for enterprise customers across Egypt, Kuwait, and Bahrain while based in Dubai in a hybrid work model. This customer-facing technical role involves partnering with sales teams to understand customer requirements, map customer initiatives and business problems to Cloudflare solutions, and deliver technical sales support including technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof of concept trials. The role requires expertise in CDN, networking, SaaS, and security solutions, with a deep understanding of customer network architectures and application architectures, including hybrid cloud environments leveraging Azure, AWS, and GCP. The engineer is responsible for building relationships and technical champions within customer organizations, developing presentations at all enterprise levels, and leading demo and proof-of-concept engagements. Additional responsibilities include producing professional content such as white papers and blog posts, and representing Cloudflare externally at developer, community, technology, and cybersecurity events. The role requires knowledge of application and network security, SaaS application environments, VPN and remote access challenges, SIEM and log analytics platforms, client OS fundamentals, and software distribution. Further technical expertise includes routing, subnetting, split tunnels, SD-WAN, local internet breakout, and understanding end-user and application security risks such as DDoS, malware, phishing, and viruses, along with awareness of CDN providers and internet security technologies. The position involves advising on best practices, applying domain expertise, and supporting digital transformation initiatives while adhering to U.S. Export Administration Regulations compliance requirements and contributing to Cloudflare’s mission of improving internet performance, security, and privacy.

Key responsibilities
- Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements and deliver technical sales support including solution mapping, presentations, and demonstrations
- Identify and map customer initiatives and business problems to Cloudflare solutions ensuring alignment with customer needs and business outcomes
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demos explaining Cloudflare solutions to enterprise customers and prospects
- Lead proof-of-concept activities and technical validations to demonstrate the effectiveness of Cloudflare products and services
- Build and maintain relationships with technical champions and stakeholders within customer organizations across multiple enterprise levels
- Develop professional technical content including white papers, blog posts, and knowledge-sharing materials to demonstrate Cloudflare expertise
- Represent and evangelize Cloudflare at developer, community, technology, and cybersecurity events with thought leadership and technical expertise
- Advise customers on best practices using in-depth knowledge of networking, application architectures, SaaS environments, and security solutions
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a customer-facing technical role involving CDN, networking, security, or SaaS environments
- Exhibit strong understanding of customer network architectures and application architectures including hybrid environments with Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Demonstrate knowledge or experience in application and network security, SaaS environments, VPN, remote access, SIEM, and log analytics platforms
- Possess knowledge of routing, subnetting, split tunnels, SD-WAN, and local internet breakout networking concepts
- Show understanding of end-user and application security risks including DDoS, malware, phishing, and viruses
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience in a related field
- Demonstrate fluency in English and Arabic languages
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and technical activities in a pre-sales environment
- Show experience engaging with enterprise customers and senior-level stakeholders to communicate technical solutions and transformation strategies
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings, conferences, and collaboration with internal teams
