Job description
Talabat's new standalone Beauty vertical needs someone to build its category strategy from the ground up, and that's exactly what this Category Manager role exists to do. You own assortment, supplier relationships, pricing, promotions, and commercial performance for beauty across the region, covering skincare, cosmetics, haircare, fragrance, and personal care end to end. Category KPIs get monitored and driven continuously, from sales and gross margin to P&L, conversion, and basket size. Assortment curation balances mass-market, premium, and emerging brands relevant to MENA consumers, with local and regional suppliers identified, onboarded, and negotiated with on pricing, rebates, payment terms, and exclusivities. You stay ahead of trends like clean beauty, K-beauty, and halal-certified products, translating them into concrete assortment decisions and a pricing strategy aligned with market benchmarks. Promotions run on a calendar built around seasonal campaigns such as Ramadan, gifting seasons, and beauty events, with effectiveness analyzed and optimized against consumer data and sell-through performance. Cross-functional work spans Operations on store flow and merchandising, Marketing on beauty campaigns and content, and Replenishment on forecasting and inventory management across high-SKU beauty ranges.
