Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to PICU patients.
• Prepare and administer medications under aseptic technique as ordered.
• Assist PICU physicians with medical procedures.
• Operate advanced medical equipment including ventilators and monitoring devices.
• Formulate and evaluate nursing care plans and treatment outcomes.
• Comply with DHA guidelines and clinical regulations.
• Manage level 3 critical care interventions including advanced airway and inotropic support.
• Handle central and arterial lines and interpret arterial blood gases.
• Implement infection control and pain management strategies.
• Update patients and families with sensitive, accurate information regularly.
• Support the centre’s nursing strategy and uphold its values.
• Respect patients’ cultural and religious beliefs, ensuring dignity and privacy.
• Provide emotional support and explanations to families regarding patient care.
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure proper communication and documentation of patient care and instructions.
• Work flexibly to maintain staffing levels and meet development goals.
• Participate in nursing audits and report adverse incidents per policy.
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient health records.
