Job description
Assist in evaluating risk and price SME new business and renewals by working with relevant salespeople and account managers; learn to assess claims history, medical disclosures, and other relevant data to make informed underwriting decisions; prepare Table of Benefits and inception documents for renewals and new business inceptions; learn market dynamics, including understanding the competition, the operating environment, and clientsā needs; support ensuring underwriting (UW) guidelines meet compliance requirements from a pricing and benefit point of view; participate in problem solving activities to define problems, identify root causes, and suggest solutions for continuous improvements of processes and procedures to work more efficiently and effectively; utilize and adhere to internal guidelines and procedures so that all assigned work is processed in a timely manner and meets compliant standards. Operate within Cigna Healthcareās context as a division of The Cigna Group focused on guiding customers through the health care system and improving health and vitality, applying these underwriting and risk evaluation activities to support growth while maintaining compliance and documentation quality for SME health insurance business.
